ABI Mindset Mastery: The Science of Success Conditioning
The science of Conditioning teaches us how to condition ourselves so we associate things in a way that makes us feel and behave the way we want to, instead of ways we don't want to act or behave.
“We can condition ourselves to feel and behave in ways that lead us in the direction of our goals and away from behaviors that create limitations or pain. Through this Mindset, we can condition ourselves for success.”
Key Principles
When therapies work, they share the common process of transforming meaning and changing our associations.
The key to neuro-associative conditioning is to get leverage, interrupt our current pattern of association, and condition a new empowering association.
To make lasting change, we must reach a point where change is a must. We must change it, and we can change it.
Interrupting someone’s pattern effectively requires doing something unexpected, something that will jolt them. If we continuously interrupt a pattern, eventually, it cannot return.
We can learn to condition ourselves to make changes that last.
Creating Our Future: Goal-Setting
Goal-Setting: This process helps us design the life we envision and creates energy and momentum.
“Everything around us in our life right now started out at one time as a thought. We are in that same moment now of creation.”
Key Principles
Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.
Three Types of Goals: A. Personal Development Goals: Emotional, mental, social, relationship, work/career/mission, spiritual, physical body goals, and goals about giving. These goals help us decide who we’re committed to becoming. B. Thing Goals: Material desires (things we want to have and do in our life). C. Economic Goals: What we want economically.
As important as writing goals, we must immediately follow through with a plan and take action toward its fulfillment to keep the momentum going.
Imagine how we would feel if, within one year, all nine of those goals were mastered and obtained. If we developed those aspects of our life, had these things, and were at this level economically, how would we feel about ourselves, living, life, fun, and our ability to set and achieve goals successfully?
It’s not just achieving a goal that matters; it's the quality of life we experience along the way and who we become in the process that counts.
